Your promotional tools: tracked links, vouchers, banners and product feeds
Discover the most-read articles
Your promotional tools are the assets your affiliates use to promote you: tracked links, vouchers, banners and product feeds. Every click or sale they generate with them is recorded in your program and credited to the partner who brought it.
Where to find your promotional tools
Your tools are managed program by program. In the sidebar, click Programs, then click your program’s name in the Manage my programs panel. Then expand Medias: this is where you find Ads, Products Feeds and Vouchers.
Tracked links are not in this panel. You create them from Create a link, in the Tools section of the sidebar: the page that opens is called Link builder.
On their side, your affiliates find the same tools in their account: Profiles, the Manage my profiles panel, then Medias, where the feeds menu is called Product feed. They see the items you make available to them, and create their own links from their Create a link menu.
The four essential tools
Each card sums up what the tool does, what you need to do and what your affiliate gets. The link at the bottom of each card opens the detailed guide.
Which tool for which publisher
Each type of publisher has its go-to formats. The table below crosses publisher profiles with the four tools: it is our recommendation, based on common affiliate marketing practice, to help you prepare first what your first partners will ask for.
| PUBLISHER TYPE | Tracked links | Vouchers | Ads | Product feeds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Content creator | essential | essential | rarely | rarely |
| Blog or media | essential | useful | useful | useful |
| Voucher site | essential | essential | useful | rarely |
| Cashback site | essential | useful | useful | rarely |
| Comparison site | useful | rarely | rarely | essential |
| Email marketing | useful | useful | essential | rarely |
To get to know each profile better, read The different affiliate types.
The minimum kit before you contact your first publishers
Before you write to your first publishers, we recommend preparing this kit. A partner who finds ready-to-use assets can start promoting you without waiting for your files.
Your affiliates’ other tools
Other tools help your affiliates day to day. Knowing them helps you answer their questions.
- The Chrome extension, on the publisher side: your affiliates create their tracked links right from your website, without going back to Affilae. Discover the Chrome extension
- Wishlists: your content creators build and share their product selection from the mobile app. Nothing to set up on your side. Discover wishlists
- Brand Search: your brand inside the Affilae mobile app. It cannot be turned on from your account: ask your Affilae contact. Discover Brand Search
Best practices for your tools
- Put the dimensions in the name of each banner, in the Ad title field, for example “Banner 300 x 250 sale”. Your affiliates spot the right size at a glance.
- One voucher per publisher, never shared: attribution stays clear and you know who sells what.
- Point each tool to a matching page: a “sale” banner leads to your sale page, not to your homepage.
- Reserve some tools for your best partners with Choose partner: exclusivity keeps them motivated.
Use cases: three brands, three kits
- A home and garden brand. Before its first messages, Home & Garden uploads three “summer garden” banners and a product feed for comparison sites. As soon as a home decor blog joins, it uses Create a link to prepare a link to its garden furniture page.
- A cosmetics brand. It mostly works with creators on Instagram and TikTok, where clickable links work poorly. Each creator gets their own code, for example GLOW15, and creates links to the product pages they feature.
- An online service with no catalog. Subscription software does not need a product feed. It relies on links to its pricing page, a 300 x 250 banner and an email kit, uploaded as an Email item, for its email marketing partners.

Your partners see, in their Medias menu, the active items meant for everyone or targeted at them. An item reserved for other partners, or outside its dates, does not appear to them, and each partner only sees their own vouchers. To make sure something new gets noticed, let them know.
Yes, that is actually how it works. A code is assigned to one or more specific partners, chosen from your approved partnerships, but never to a group. We recommend a separate code for each publisher: that way you always know who brought each sale.
Affilae accepts JPEG, PNG or GIF images up to 3 MB. For dimensions, we recommend the most requested market standards: 300 x 250 first, then 728 x 90 and 300 x 600, plus a mobile size such as 320 x 50. The banner formats article covers each size in detail.
No. A product feed is mostly useful if you sell a catalog, especially for comparison sites. Without one, your affiliates promote you with tracked links, vouchers and ads. If you add one later, most e-commerce platforms can export a catalog in CSV or XML.
Yes. In their Create a link menu, they paste the address of any page of your site, such as a product page or a category: your program is recognized from the address and they get their tracked link. You can also prepare this link for them from your own Create a link menu, by choosing their partnership.
For an ad, check Notify partners by email? when you create it: the box only exists at creation. For a product feed, check Send notification to concerned partners. For a voucher or a broader announcement, go to Messaging and click New message: one message can go to all the partners you choose, filtered by Group, Status or Active.
Yes. When an order comes in with the code, the sale is credited to the partner who holds it, even without a click on a link, as long as the code is within its validity period. Your conversion tag must send the code used: the voucher guide explains how, and what happens when a click and a code overlap.
