Write your program page
Discover the most-read articles
Your program page is what publishers read when Match AI recommends your program to them: your presentation, commissions, advertising assets and terms. Match AI also relies on its description to match you with publishers whose content resembles yours.
Where you write your program page
- In the sidebar, click Programs, then your program name, then Configuration.
- On the Program settings page, in the Program communication block, click Manage. The Communication settings page opens: this is where you write your page.

What publishers see on your page
When Match AI recommends your program, the publisher first sees a preview, then opens your page with View full profile. There they find the Apply to program button and four tabs:
- Presentation: your Description, then the Personas and Allowed channels from the Match AI Configuration block.
- Commission rules: your public groups and rules, under the names you gave them, to be written in your publishers’ language.
- Advertising assets: your creatives open to all your affiliates.
- Terms: your Affiliate terms and your three authorizations.
Fill in all four tabs before welcoming your first partners: an empty tab tells the publisher so, for example with “Terms have not been provided yet.” To improve your performance indicators, computed by Affilae, refuse only the sales that deserve it and settle payment requests promptly.
For Match AI to recommend your program to publishers, it must have the Enabled status and be listed: turn on the Would you like to be listed on the advertiser marketplace? toggle, at the bottom of the Communication settings page, then the Affilae team approves it manually. Your page then also appears on the Marketplace.
The golden rules, field by field
The eight markers follow the order of the Brand presentation section.

1. Categories: aim precisely, not wide
Your Main category (required) and Secondary category appear at the top of your page. By default, Match AI matches programs and publishers that share at least one category.
Golden rule: make your main category the one your flagship product belongs to. Add a secondary category only if you really sell those products, otherwise you attract off-topic publishers.
2. Countries: only where you actually sell
Your Countries also appear at the top of your page, and Match AI uses them the same way as categories.
Golden rule: keep only the countries you ship to, in their currency, with customer service that answers. A country where you do not sell only brings applications you will have to decline.
3. Language tabs: one language per target market
Your page is in French by default: the “+” button to the right of the tabs adds a language, five at most. Each open language needs its short description, description and terms.
Golden rule: open one language per market you really target, and have it proofread by a native speaker. Without a version in their language, publishers read your page in French.
4. Short description: one sentence that says it all
The Short description sums up your program, as its help text asks: “Describe your activity in one sentence.” Match AI also uses it to write the “Why this match?” the publisher reads.
Golden rule: say what you sell, where, and what the publisher earns. No welcome line, no unverifiable superlatives.
5. Description: the essentials in the first lines
The Description fills the Presentation tab, as plain text with your line breaks, and the Match AI preview only shows its beginning. Match AI also relies on it to match you with publishers whose content resembles yours.
Golden rule: put your best argument in the first lines, then expand in short paragraphs: your products and their season, what you provide to publishers, the partners you are looking for.
For you: a promo code in your name, seasonal banners and a full product feed.
We are looking for home and garden blogs, Instagram and Pinterest creators, and home deal sites.
6. Affiliate terms: one rule per line
Your Affiliate terms appear in the Terms tab, as plain text: your line breaks stay, but bold and bullet lists do not.
Golden rule: one rule per line, one sentence per rule. Start from the template below and adapt it in each language.
7. Social networks: only active accounts
The “+” next to Social networks adds a network, with the full address of your page: its icon appears at the top of your page.
Golden rule: only add accounts you keep alive. A content creator looks at your latest posts before applying.
8. Authorizations: three settings, the rest goes in your terms
This collapsed block sets Email, PopUp/PopUnder and Buying Keywords to yes, no or ask. Publishers find them in the Terms tab, under Allowed levers.
Golden rule: keep these settings consistent with your terms, where everything else goes: cashback, coupon sites, social media, keyword nuances, conditional permissions.
Your partnership terms: the template to adapt
To apply, a publisher declares that they have read and accept your terms: they are the rulebook of your program.
Accepted channels: [content sites, blogs, comparison sites, social media, newsletters].
Brand keyword bidding: not allowed on [brand name], its variants and misspellings, on any search engine.
Cashback and incentivized traffic: [allowed / not allowed / subject to our written approval].
Promo codes: only codes provided by [brand name] may be published, including on coupon sites.
Email marketing: only to contacts who agreed to receive your offers, with an unsubscribe link.
Social media: every post clearly states that it is a paid partnership.
Non-commissionable sales: canceled, returned, refunded or fraudulent orders[, gift card purchases].
Sales validation: [your schedule, for example at the start of each month, once the return period is over].
Breach of terms: any sale generated outside these terms is refused, and the partnership may be ended.
Questions: message us on Affilae before running any special promotion.
Adapt each line to your business and your returns policy, and only write what you will deliver.
When a publisher applies
The publisher picks one of their profiles, usually writes you a message and accepts your terms. What happens next depends on the Affiliate validation setting, in Global Settings:
- Manual, the default and our recommendation: the application arrives as Pending in My affiliates, and the program Manager gets an email. To accept it, click the pencil next to its status, then Approve, and choose their Affiliate group.
- Automatic: the partnership is approved right away, in your default group.

Frequently asked questions
The toggle sends a request: your page is then approved manually by the Affilae team, with no pending status on your side. Until then, neither Match AI nor the Marketplace shows it to publishers. Check that your program has the Enabled status, then email support@affilae.com with its name.
Each open language needs its short description, description and terms: an incomplete language shows a red dot. Also check the Brand name, the Main category, the countries and your social network addresses. If the Save button is grayed out, you lack edit rights on the program communication.
Because your program is listed and targets at least one non-French-speaking country: the English tab is then added automatically and cannot be removed. If you do not target that market, remove the country from the Countries field.
The application checks neither. But a publisher who finds an empty Advertising assets tab, or whose sales do not show up, will not come back: test your tracking, create a public commission rule and upload a few creatives from day one.
They are the three possible settings for Email, PopUp/PopUnder and Buying Keywords: yes allows the channel, no bans it, ask makes it subject to your approval. Spell out any condition in your terms, where publishers will read it. By default, Email is set to ask and the other two to no.
