What is the purpose of publisher groups?
To sum up publisher groups in a single sentence: this feature is used to define “who I am going to pay and how much.”
It allows you to create different commission groups within your program configuration—based on publisher types, for example.
You also have the option to hide a commission group. This ensures that other publishers in the program cannot see that specific group’s rates, and the group will not appear on your program’s public profile.
Once these groups are set up, you can track their performance in your reporting via the “Groups” tab.

How to configure a publisher group?
To set up a publisher group, go to the “Configuration” section of your interface, select the “Commission Rules” tab, and then “Commission Groups.” Click the “Add a group” button.

Now, you need to:
- Define the group name.
- Decide whether the group is private or not.
- Add commission rules.
Important: Once the rules are added, you can set the payout rates. If you do not add commission rules to the group, conversions will not be tracked on Affilae.
You also have the option to add commission tiers based on the number of conversions generated by the publisher. These tiers are calculated on a monthly basis.

How to change a publisher’s group?
Publishers who join your program are automatically added to the default group (the first group created for the program).
To move a publisher from one group to another:
- Go to the “My Affiliates” section.
- In the “Actions” column, click “Edit.”
- A new page will open where you can change the group under “General Settings” > “Affiliate Groups.”
