Mobile app: Payments

The Payments screen in the Affilae mobile app brings together your available earnings, your next payment and the history of your payment requests. You can request payment of your commissions in a few taps, without opening a computer.

Requirements: you need at least one affiliate profile, an active partnership with a program, and complete Payment information. Without valid bank details, the Get paid button stays greyed out.

Opening the Payments screen in the app

The Payments screen is not part of the bottom navigation bar, which holds Dashboard, Brands, Create, Links and Profile. You open it from your account instead.

  1. On the Dashboard screen, tap your profile picture, at the top of the screen, to the left of the welcome message.
  2. The My account screen opens.
  3. In the Account section, tap Payments.

The Payments screen: currency, available earnings, next payment and commission counters.
  • Currency: the top row lists your currencies. Tap one to recalculate every amount on the screen.
  • Earnings available: the amount you can claim on the highlighted program, with the Minimum amount to be collected set by that program right underneath.
  • Next payment: your next accepted request whose payment date is still ahead, with its identifier and the Expected on label.
  • Pending commissions: earnings still awaiting brand validation. Paid commissions: what you actually received over the selected period.
  • The Filters icon, at the top right, lets you change the Period, the Profile and the Brand taken into account.

Requesting payment of your commissions

  1. Select the relevant currency in the top row.
  2. Check that your Earnings available exceed the Minimum amount to be collected shown.
  3. Tap Get paid.
  4. The Payment Request sheet opens and recaps the amount, today’s date and the brand name.
  5. Tap Confirm to send the request to the advertiser.

The Get paid button can appear greyed out or replaced by another label. Here are the most common cases:

  • Payment request managed by Affilae: the program hands its payouts to Affilae. You have no request to create, the payment is triggered for you.
  • Your earnings are lower than or equal to the program’s Minimum amount to be collected, or you have no earnings in the selected currency.
  • Your Payment information is incomplete or invalid.
  • You are registered as a private individual in France: the app then shows «For tax and legal reasons, you can only request payment of your earnings when you are registered as a company.»
  • Your favorite method is PayPal but the partner does not allow it. The Go to payment methods button then takes you to your Payment information.
Note: if a red banner invites you to Complete your tax information, your payments stay blocked until the form is filled in. Tapping the link opens the form in your browser, it is not filled in inside the app.

Tracking your payment requests

  1. On the Payments screen, tap Payment requests.
  2. Each card shows the brand, the request identifier, its date, its status and its amount.
  3. To narrow the list, tap the Filters icon at the top right, then pick a Period, a Profile, a Brand, a Currency or a Status.
  4. Finish with Apply, or start over with Clear all.

The Payment requests list, one card per request with its status.

The statuses shown in the app are the following:

  • Pending: the request has been sent, the advertiser has not processed it yet.
  • Accepted: the advertiser approved the request. The card then shows Expected on followed by the estimated payment date.
  • Scheduled: the payment is planned.
  • Paid: the money has been sent. The card shows Paid on followed by the date.
  • Refused: the advertiser rejected the request. The reason is available on the web version.

These are exactly the same statuses as on the web version, with the same wording.

Filling in your bank details from mobile

Contrary to a common belief, this step does not require a computer. It happens in My account, right next to the Payments entry.

  1. Open My account from your profile picture, then tap Payment information.
  2. Pick the Bank details tab to enter your IBAN and your bank’s details.
  3. Switch to the Paypal tab if you prefer to be paid on a PayPal account.
  4. In the Favorite tab, state which method your partners should use first.
  5. Tap Update to save.
Tip: favour bank transfer. The app reminds you of it in the Favorite tab: PayPal charges processing fees between 3% and 7%, while bank transfers are between 1% and 2%.

Two actions remain web only: reading the full refusal reason for a request, and filling in the tax form. For the tax form, the app itself opens the web page from the red banner.

Why track your payments from the app

  • You request payment the moment you notice the threshold is cleared, without waiting to be at a computer.
  • Tracking per currency avoids misreadings when you work with brands paying in euros and in dollars.
  • Next payment gives you an estimated payment date, useful to plan your cash flow.
  • Your bank details can be fixed from your phone, which unblocks a stuck payment in minutes.

Best practices

  • Complete your Payment information as soon as you create your profile, before expecting a first commission.
  • Always compare your Earnings available with the Minimum amount to be collected before tapping Get paid: this is the main reason for a greyed out button.
  • Group your requests instead of claiming small amounts: fewer requests, fewer fees and clearer tracking.
  • Filter the list by Status to spot at a glance the requests that have stayed Pending longer than usual.

Use cases

  • Lea, content creator. A notification tells her about a new earning. She opens My account, then Payments, sees €184.50 of Earnings available against a €50 threshold, taps Get paid then Confirm. The request appears as Pending in her list straight away.
  • Marc, multi-brand publisher. He works with programs in euros and in dollars. He switches currency at the top of the screen to check each set of earnings separately, then filters Payment requests by Brand to find a specific request.
  • Sofia, travelling. Her Get paid button is greyed out. She opens Payment information, fixes her IBAN in the Bank details tab, taps Update and can request her payment the same day.

Four possible reasons: your earnings are lower than or equal to the program’s Minimum amount to be collected, you have no earnings in the selected currency, your Payment information is incomplete, or the program hands its payouts to Affilae. If you are registered as a private individual in France, the app shows «For tax and legal reasons, you can only request payment of your earnings when you are registered as a company.»

Pending: your request has not been processed by the advertiser yet. Accepted: it is approved, the card shows «Expected on» followed by the estimated date. Scheduled: the payment is planned. Paid: the money has been sent, the card shows «Paid on» followed by the date. A Refused status also exists, and its reason is available on the web version.

Yes. Open My account then Payment information. Three tabs are available: Bank details for your IBAN, Paypal for a PayPal account, and Favorite for the method to use first. Finish with Update.

The message reads «Complete your tax information to unlock your payments (compliance required).» Tap the link: the app opens the tax form in your browser. Until it is filled in, your payments stay blocked.
