Managing your program notifications

Notifications are the emails Affilae sends you when something happens on your program. Two of them can be turned on and off freely, program by program, from your own user details.
Where to set your notifications
The setting does not live in the program configuration anymore, but in your user account. If you are still looking for the Notifications part of Global settings, it has moved.
- At the bottom of the sidebar, click your name to open the My account panel.
- Under your first and last name, click Details.
- On the My contact details page, expand the Notifications section.
- If you manage several programs, pick the right one in the Program list. With a single program, this list is hidden and the program is selected automatically.
- Switch on the notifications you want to receive.
The Notifications section is collapsed by default: if you cannot see it, click its title to open it. Once expanded, it shows, in this order, the instruction Select the notifications you want to receive, the Program list (only if you manage several programs), then one row per notification, each with its switch on the right.
Every switch is saved instantly: there is no Save button to click, and no confirmation message appears.
The two notifications you can turn on and off
The section offers only these two, in this order. They land in your inbox.
| NOTIFICATION | WHAT TRIGGERS IT | WHO RECEIVES IT | SENDING RHYTHM |
|---|---|---|---|
| New messages | A publisher writes to you from Messaging. | Only the user attached to that conversation, if the option is on. | Straight away, with one email every 15 minutes per conversation at most. |
| New conversions | A new conversion is recorded on the program. | Every user of the account who turned the option on and who is allowed to manage the conversions of that program. | One summary per day, not one email per sale. |
In your inbox, the subject line of these emails states the type of event and the name of the affiliate profile involved.
Emails you receive in every case
Most Affilae emails cannot be switched off, because they ask you to take action or because they relate to your billing. The main ones:
- Partnership activity: new partnership request, new affiliate, partnership cancelled by the publisher.
- Publisher payments: new payment request, invoice attached to a payment request.
- Capping alerts: when a commission cap approaches its limit, then when it is reached.
- Product marketplace: new product review application, product validated or refused, new review published.
- Your Affilae subscription: invoices and credit notes, pending payment, overdue payment, quotas, end of trial, frozen account.
- Account security: verification code, password change, email address confirmation.
These emails do not all go to the same person: partnership, payment request and capping alerts go to the program manager, while Affilae invoices and credit notes go to the account billing contacts. If nobody receives them, check those contacts with your Affilae contact.
Why it is worth two minutes of your time
- You only receive what concerns you, without flooding your inbox.
- You answer your affiliates faster, which is the best way to keep them active.
- Each person in your team picks their own alert level, without imposing it on the others.
- You follow your sales day by day without opening the platform.
Best practices
- Check your preferences from My account then Details: the switches shown reflect your current settings.
- If an expected email does not reach you, start by checking that the matching switch is on.
- Set each program separately: keep detailed alerts on your main program, and lighten them on secondary programs.
- After a change, send yourself a test message from a publisher account to confirm the email arrives.
- If you receive nothing while the switch is on, check your spam folder first.
Use cases
- An acquisition manager working alone: they turn both notifications on for their single program. They answer affiliates the same day and get a daily summary of their sales.
- A team of three: the person managing affiliates keeps New messages, the analyst keeps New conversions, and the director switches both off. Each of them sets their own Details page.
- A brand with two programs, France and Spain: the France manager turns everything on for the French program and everything off for the Spanish one, which an agency runs on its side.

They moved. The setting no longer lives in Configuration then Global settings, but in your user account: My account, your first and last name, Details, Notifications section. Open that section to check your preferences: the switches shown reflect your current settings.
Yes. The setting is personal: every user of the account has their own switches, and nobody can change them for you. Open your Details page and turn on the notifications you are missing.
Because New conversions sends a daily summary, not one email per conversion. This is deliberate, to avoid hundreds of emails on an active program. The rhythm cannot be changed. To see your sales in real time, open the Conversions menu of the program.
Three possible explanations. The email only goes to the user attached to the conversation, which is not necessarily you. Only one email is sent every 15 minutes per conversation, so messages sent close together trigger a single send. Finally, check your spam folder.
No. Only the two notifications in the section, New messages and New conversions, can be switched off. Emails that ask you for a decision, such as a partnership request or a payment request, along with all billing and security emails, are always sent.
No. This list only appears if your account manages several programs. With a single program, Affilae selects it automatically and hides the list.
There is none. Every switch is saved the moment you flip it, without a confirmation message. If in doubt, leave the page and come back: the state you see is the state that was saved.
By email, to the inbox of the address registered on your user account. If you receive nothing while the switch is on, check your spam folder first, then the address set on your Details page.
