Customize your remuneration: increases and decreases
Discover the most-read articles
The Customize your remuneration section lets you temporarily change a partner’s commission rate, up or down, over a period you choose. The change switches on and off by itself on the dates you set.
Where to find the feature
The full path: Manage my programs > your program > Configuration > Commission Rules tab > Customize your remuneration section.
Open the Configuration menu in the left column, then switch to the Commission Rules tab. It holds four stacked sections: scroll down to the fourth and last one, Customize your remuneration.
The section carries this description: Schedule automatic commission changes for your partners.
Create an increase or a decrease
Two buttons sit at the top right of the section: Commission increase and Commission decrease. The form is the same, only the direction of the change differs.
- Click Commission increase or Commission decrease. A panel opens on the right of the screen.
- Fill in the Title of the commission change. Your partner will see it, so pick something meaningful, for instance “Black Friday campaign”.
- In Select a partnership, choose the partner or the commission group concerned.
- Set the period with Active from and Active to.
- Choose the rule you are targeting. The Change rule button lets you revisit that choice. You can target one specific rule, or a set of rules of the same type with the “All rules” option.
- A blue box recalls the current situation: Your partner [name] is currently commissioned: followed by the rates in force.
- Enter the gap in Commission change. The levels of the rule are carried over automatically: the + and – buttons on the right add or remove one, and the Conversions/per month minimum field sets each threshold.
- A green box shows the result: New commission for [name]: followed by the new rates.
- Tick Notify partners by email? if you want to inform them.
- Confirm with Confirm commission increase, or Confirm commission decrease depending on the direction you chose.

Track your changes
The section lists all your changes, past, current and upcoming. A search field covers titles and partners, and a status filter lets you isolate what matters.
The table has the Title, Partner, Rule, Commission, Period, Status and Actions columns.
The four statuses
| STATUS | WHAT IT MEANS |
|---|---|
| Active | The change applies right now. |
| Scheduled | It is created and will switch on on the first day of the period. |
| Ended | The period is over, the change no longer applies. |
| Archived | You filed it away on purpose. Archiving an active change stops it immediately. |
What you can do on a row
- Update: revisit the settings of the change.
- See the commission change: open the details panel, which sums everything up and offers archiving.
- Archive: only available on an Active or Ended change. On an active change, this stops the running personalized commission.
- Delete: only available on a Scheduled, Ended or Archived change. An active change cannot be deleted: archive it first.

What your partner sees
Your partner finds the change in their Commission rate, on your program’s page.
- A running change shows Increased by or Decrease by, followed by the difference, and the Changed until mention with the end date.
- An upcoming change appears under the Planned commission changes heading.
- If you ticked the notification, they receive a summary e-mail with a link to their account.
Best practices
- Write a proper title. Your partner reads it. “Black Friday campaign” makes sense, “test2” does not.
- Prepare your campaigns in advance. Create the change weeks ahead: it will switch on on the right day without you thinking about it.
- One change per rule and per period. Two overlapping periods on the same rule are rejected, even if the rules differ.
- If you track several currencies, enter the change in each one. It is optional, but a forgotten currency keeps the usual rate.
Use cases
A commercial campaign. You raise the commission from 5% to 8% between 20 and 30 November for your three best affiliates. You create the change in early November, tick the notification, and never come back to it.
A profitability test. You doubt a partner is profitable at the current rate. A temporary decrease over one month answers the question without renegotiating their contract.
A newcomer to support. You grant a higher rate over their first two months, while they set up tracking and find their pace. The boost stops by itself.

Another change already covers all or part of that period on that rule. You cannot stack two changes on the same partner, the same rule and overlapping dates. Change the period, the rule or the partner, or archive the existing change.
Titles are unique within your program. Add a detail, such as the year or the partner’s name: “Black Friday 2026 – My Blog”.
The change field is still empty or set to zero. Enter the difference to apply, on at least one level and at least one currency, before confirming.
It lists the currencies you did not fill in, and gives you the choice: Back to form to complete them, or Validate without these currencies. In the second case, the currencies left aside keep their usual rate.
Archiving files the change away and, if it was active, stops it immediately. It stays visible with the Archived status. Deleting removes it from your account. Archiving is only offered on an Active or Ended change; deleting, only on a Scheduled, Ended or Archived one.
That is expected: a group used by a commission change cannot be deleted. The message gives you the name of the change concerned and a link to open it. Delete the change first, then the group.
Yes. In Select a partnership, choose a commission group instead of a single partner. The group’s levels are then carried over automatically as a starting point.
Yes, with the Commission decrease button, next to Commission increase. The form is identical. Your partner will then see the Decrease by mention in their commission rate, and will be informed by e-mail if you tick the notification.
Whether it shows depends on your account’s rights. If you cannot see it while your colleagues can, ask your account administrator to grant you that right.
