Dashboard: top selling products
Discover the most-read articles
The Top selling products block ranks your products by the number of sales your affiliates generated over the selected period. It sits at the bottom of your advertiser Dashboard, and only when sales could actually be matched to products.
Where to find your top selling products
- In the left menu (General section), open Dashboard.
- At the top of the page, pick your reference period, then the compare to period if you want a trend.
- If you manage several programs, select them in the All programs list, and check the currency shown next to it.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page: the Top selling products block sits below the charts.
How to read the product cards
- The number in the top left corner is the product rank. The block shows the top 10 products at most, use the arrows to scroll sideways.
- The number of sales is the count of sale conversions attached to that product over the period. Refused conversions are excluded. Above 9,999 the card shows « +10k ».
- The trend badge compares the reference period with the compare to period. It shows N/A when no comparison period is selected, or when the product had no sale during that period.
- Click a card to flip it: you then see the 5 affiliates who sold that product the most, plus a final line grouping all the others.
- The icon in the top right corner opens the product page on your website, as set in the feed.
Filter and export
The filters at the top of the page (period, programs, currency) apply to the block. The block adds its own All partnerships list to show the sales of one affiliate only. The download icon, tooltip CSV download, exports the detail product by product and affiliate by affiliate.
The file contains the columns ProductTitle, ProductId, ProductURL, From, To, Sales, Trend, PartnershipTitle and GroupTitle. It is the only view that breaks sales down product by product and affiliate by affiliate.
The block does not appear, or stays empty
This is the most common situation, and it is not a bug. When no sale in the period could be matched to a product, the block is not displayed at all on the dashboard. If it does appear but stays empty, you will read one of these two messages:
- « No performance data tracked on products. Partners are not active or the service is not activated. »
- With an affiliate selected in the partnerships list: « This partner does not show performance on selected filters or is not active. »
Work through this list in order, the cause is almost always in the first three points:
- The product feed exists and works. Open your program, then Medias > Products Feeds. The feed must be published and indexed, not left as a draft.
- The feed was created for the right feature. When creating it, Affilae asks what the feed is for: the option to pick is Top Sold Products, not Partnerships. A feed meant for partnerships does not feed this block.
- The Conversion tag attribute is filled in. In the feed mapping, Conversion tag must point to the field holding the product ID your tracking sends (often
id,product,ean,gtinoritem_group_id). - Your tracking really sends the products. Your conversion tag must pass the product reference or references of the order, separated by semicolons. Without that information, no sale can be linked to a product.
- The values match exactly. An ID sent by the tracking must appear identically in the mapped feed field. A reference missing from the feed is simply ignored.
- The dashboard filters. Widen the period, select all programs, and check the currency: only sales recorded in the displayed currency are counted.
- The conversion type. Only sales feed this block. A lead-only program will never appear here.
Why you should use it
- You spot in seconds which products affiliation actually sells, not just which ones receive clicks.
- You know which affiliates drive which products, by flipping a card or opening the CSV export.
- You catch products losing traction thanks to the trend, before it hits your revenue.
- You feed your affiliate briefs with concrete references, which makes your outreach far more effective.
Best practices
- Always compare with an equivalent period (one month against one month) so the trend makes sense.
- Read the ranking affiliate by affiliate: an average product overall can be one partner’s best seller.
- Export the CSV before each monthly review with your affiliates, it is the most concrete basis for discussion.
Use cases
- Preparing a commercial push. An outdoor brand sees that one backpack drives a third of its affiliate sales. It creates a promo code dedicated to that product and sends it first to the three affiliates who sell it best.
- Waking up a quiet affiliate. Filtering on Partnerships, an advertiser notices a blog now sells a single reference. It sends over a selection of three similar products, with the visuals from the feed.

Frequently asked questions
Because no sale in the period could be matched to a product. In that case Affilae hides the block entirely instead of showing an empty table. Check in this order: a product feed published and indexed, created with the « Top Sold Products » feature, a « Conversion tag » attribute filled in its mapping, and conversion tracking that sends the product references.
The full message is: « No performance data tracked on products. Partners are not active or the service is not activated. » It means the matching between your sales and your product feed found nothing with the current filters. Widen the period, select all your programs, check the displayed currency, then review the « Conversion tag » mapping of your feed.
No. Each card shows a number of sales, not an amount. To work in revenue or commissions, use Reporting and the Conversions tab of your program. The block’s CSV export also reports sales volumes, with the breakdown per affiliate.
Four possible causes. The reference sent by the tracking matches no value in the field mapped as « Conversion tag ». The product is no longer in the feed. The sale was refused, so it is excluded. Or the product is not in the top 10: the block stops at 10 cards, while the CSV export contains everything.
Because there is nothing to compare. Either no « compare to » period is selected at the top of the dashboard, or the product recorded no sale during that comparison period. Pick a comparison period of the same length and the variation appears.
That means the « Conversion tag » is mapped to an ID specific to each size. In your feed mapping, select instead a field shared by all variants of the same item, for example a product group ID. Sales will then be grouped on a single card.
