Testing click and conversion tracking

Once you have finished installing the tracking codes according to the documentation, you must verify that clicks and conversions are correctly reported in your Affilae account.

How to test your tracking

A “Test Tracking Affilae” affiliate is automatically created when you set up your program. You can retrieve an affiliate link directly from the Link Generator in the Ad Elements section of your program.

Follow these steps to conduct a test:

• Disable adblockers: Ensure all ad-blocking software is turned off.
• Accept cookies: Accept the cookie consent banner on your website.
• Generate and copy: Copy the tracked link generated via the Link Generator.
• Test the click: Open the link in a new tab, browse your site, and check your Affilae Dashboard under the Clicks section to confirm it was recorded.
• Test the conversion: Complete a test order to trigger a conversion. The data is reported instantly and can be verified in the Conversions section of your dashboard.

Note: Link nomenclature may vary depending on your program format (parameter, redirection, or S2S).

Verification of Clicks and Conversions

If your clicks or conversions are not appearing:

• Refer back to the technical documentation for your chosen integration (Client-to-Server, Server-to-Server, GTM, etc.).
• Identify and resolve potential blocking points.
