Influencer affiliate marketing: interview with Adeline

Interview with Adeline, content creator, @bubblebeadoff

I am Adeline, I am 34 years old, and I run the account @bubblebeadoff, where I share my passion for secondhand fashion, but also daily lifestyle hacks, taking care of myself, and looking after my environment. I absolutely love restoring vintage pieces!
What was your strategy to grow your community?
I never really had a strategy. I have always stayed true to myself and my values, without ever trying to “succeed” in a commercial sense. Above all, I have always wanted to be as sincere and transparent as possible with my followers; I share on social media out of pure passion.
When I started on Instagram back in 2013, there was no talk of monetization or business yet. It was primarily a platform for exchange. I have stayed the same since then: my followers are like my friends, and I have actually built real friendships thanks to Instagram.
How do you stand out to attract more followers and brands?
Sincerity and transparency. I think that in this industry, you should not try to copy anyone; people can sense it, and brands do too.
What are the benefits of affiliation in influencer marketing for you?
I see affiliation and influencer affiliate marketing as a bonus, an additional income that can be generated naturally. You can integrate it spontaneously into your content, sharing links organically, while respecting transparency by mentioning that it is an affiliate link.
It is essential to build a relationship of trust with brands. Affiliation is a plus, but it cannot be the sole source of income in exchange for products or services.
“Affiliation is a bonus, not a goal” – Adeline
How do you manage your Instagram activity alongside your professional life?
The two are linked, since I am a full-time content creator. I always organize my days more or less the same way, depending on my external appointments.
In the morning, I start around 8:30 or 9:00 AM: I check my emails and talk with my agent, Lisa, about ongoing collaborations regarding quotes, invoices, and statistics to send to brands. I also make it a point of honor to reply to messages received on my social media networks; I reply to everyone. After that, I film until 1:00 or 2:00 PM.
In the afternoon, I edit between 2:00 and 5:00 PM depending on the period, and I continue to handle emails and comments. Around 6:00 PM, I publish my content for the day and reply to as many messages as possible. I try to log off at 8:00 PM.
The secret is really organization. I am always ahead with my content.
What is your advice to encourage influencers to work with affiliate platforms?
It is an accessible additional income to generate, without needing to create extra content. You can easily integrate links into stories or create wishlists; it takes a little more time, but it remains very accessible.
Based on your experience, what are the advantages of working with a platform like Affilae?
Creating tracked links is quick and simple. The 30-day tracking cookie ensures you do not lose any sales. The application is fluid, and payment tracking is very clear.
