Structuring a multichannel affiliate strategy: The Adopt case

Interview with Doriane, Traffic Manager at Adopt

 

 

With over 40 years of history, Adopt has become a key player in the accessible fragrance industry. The brand offers more than 100 perfumes made in France, along with skincare, makeup, and home products. With 350 stores in France and a presence in 45 countries, Adopt is now accelerating its multichannel digital strategy.

Doriane, Traffic Manager at Adopt, manages all paid acquisition channels, including the affiliate marketing program. She explains how the brand structured its multichannel affiliate strategy in collaboration with Affilae.

 

Could you tell us more about your role and the main challenges you face?

I’ve been Traffic Manager at Adopt for three and a half years, managing all paid acquisition channels, including SEA, SMO, and affiliation.
My goal is to optimize traffic and performance across all channels while ensuring synergy between them.

As a multichannel brand with both a strong retail and digital presence, it’s essential for us to invest in profitable affiliate marketing channels that support online growth while maintaining budget and operational efficiency.

 

 

What was Adopt’s main challenge in online acquisition, and why did you decide to structure an affiliate program?

At Adopt, affiliate marketing was already part of our acquisition ecosystem, but it remained a secondary lever, underused and not strategically managed.
The main challenge was to integrate this channel more effectively into our overall digital strategy, in a structured and measurable way.

The existing program wasn’t delivering the expected results: it lacked tracking, dynamism, and strategic direction. It therefore became necessary to rethink our affiliate program from the ground up, with regular support, reliable performance tools, and a stronger capacity to engage partners.

The goal was to diversify our acquisition channels, reach new customer profiles, and make affiliate marketing more efficient and measurable, all while staying within our budgetary framework.

 

What are the benefits of working with a platform like Affilae?

Our agency, Adquality, recommended that we turn to Affilae. What immediately caught our attention was the platform’s ability to easily integrate different types of partners: content creators, cashback sites, comparison platforms, deal sites, and most importantly, influencers, a lever we had not yet explored.

To what extent has using Affilae become a strategic advantage in terms of productivity and competitiveness?

Integrating Affilae into our analytics environment (notably through Alphalyr and Marketing Studio 360) allows us to gain a very detailed view of performance — both by affiliate and by partner category.

This level of granularity is essential to make informed decisions, compare partner typologies, and allocate budgets more efficiently.

It’s also a major operational time-saver: activations are smoother, briefs are clearer, and campaigns are easier to monitor.

In a multi-country context like ours (France and Spain), it’s clearly a driver of competitiveness.

 

Are you satisfied with the results?

The program has clearly become more structured. The frequency of activations has increased, aligning with our very dynamic commercial calendar with new product launches approximately every three weeks.

Affiliate marketing is now better integrated into our overall marketing strategy, with more varied campaign mechanics and a clearer understanding of performance by partner type.

The results are strong, and the program continues to gain momentum.
