Postback – Publisher
What is postback on Affilae?
Postback enables Affilae to automatically send conversion data to publishers. Each time a conversion is achieved, Affilae sends this information to the URL provided by the publisher via a GET request, enabling the publisher to monitor the performance of its campaigns in real time.
Why use Postback?
- Data synchronisation between Affilae and publisher systems
- Real-time performance monitoring for publishers
- Automation of the reporting process
How do I configure Postback on Affilae?
⓵ Add URL
You need to go to the configuration, and go to the Postback URL :
⓶ Configuring postback in Affilae
In your Affilae interface, go to the Postback parameters section to configure the URL.
⓷ Enter the URL and configure the parameters
Paste the URL.
Example: https://s.affilae.com/api/server_to_server_events/track/?aff_sid1={{conversion.external_identifier}}&event={{event}}&payout={{conversion.click.commission}}&campaign={{campaign}}
⓸ Fill in automatically detected fields
After pasting the URL, Affilae automatically detects the variable parameters (between braces) and generates the corresponding fields:
- The parameters detected appear in the left-hand column (e.g. ‘aff_sid1’, ‘event’, ‘payout’, ‘campaign’).
- For each parameter, you can define what information Affilae should send you:
- Select a dynamic value from the right-hand drop-down menu (e.g. ‘External ID’, ‘Commission amount’).
- Don’t select anything if you want a static value as defined in the URL.
⓹ Confirm configuration
Once all the parameters have been configured according to the editor’s needs, click on the ‘Create’ button to activate Postback.
